Summer 2023.  Hello from the Colleyville Rotary Club!  I am thrilled and honored to take on the role of President from Bruce Stacey!  Bruce led the club for two years and has made it easy for me to carry on his good work! 

 

I have been a member of the Colleyville Rotary Club since 2017 serving in various leadership roles. I can honestly say we have the hardest working Rotarians around.  Our small but mighty club of close to 40 members is always ready to roll up their sleeves and serve. Service Above Self is at the very heart of our club and the Rotary International mission since it was founded in 1905. 

 

We have a number of fun and exciting service projects and fund-raising events lined up for the coming year. The most notable will be the 2024 Dancing for the Stars event, which has become legendary in the community for its all-out glitz, glamour and fun.  In its 13-year history, this fund-raising event has helped us donate over $250,000 to local charities and worthy causes we support in our community.  This year's event will be February 24th at the Hurst Conference Center, so mark your calendars now.

 

In addition to our community support, we are also partnering with other local Rotary clubs to write international grants that support the installation of five wells to provide clean water to five villages in Sri Lanka.  We are also working on providing breast imaging equipment to a clinic in Parras de la Fuente, Mexico so women in that area will now have access to early detection of breast cancer.

 

So yeah... we like to keep busy. And we'd like for you to keep busy with us.
