Youth Football and Cheer!

Grapevine/Colleyville Youth Football & Cheer Association is a non-profit organization established in 2012. It serves over 350 boys and girls from Kindergarten to Sixth grade in the local area! Sponsorships from local businesses and clubs, like The Colleyville Rotary Club, allow the organization to ability to refurbish current equipment, purchase new equipment (shoulder pads & helmets) to keep our players as safe as possible, and provide scholarships to families where their son/daughter would otherwise not be able to participate.

Colleyville Rotarian Chris McNeal is a board member (Vice President) and Assistant Coach to one of the fourth-grade teams that his son plays the center position for. At a recent club meeting, Chris was elated to share that the team he coached won the North Texas Youth Football League Championship for their respective division in early November!

Chris expressed a heart felt thank you for the sponsorship that The Colleyville Rotary Club provided for the 2022 Grapevine/Colleyville Youth Football & Cheer Association. GCYFA looks forward to an even greater 2023 Spring & Fall season with sponsors like The Colleyville Rotary Club.

Trip to Cuba

Colleyville Rotarians Visit Cuba

In January 2023 Colleyville President Bruce Stacy will lead a contingent of District 5790 Rotarians on a humanitarian trip to Cuba. Rumor has it the group will manage to see some vintage auomobiles, and to sample some Cuban rum and cigars! For more information contact Bruce Stacy at abs.cfs@verizon.net.

We have a passion for supporting education in our community and world wide. Locally, we support students with scholarships at the local high school and staff at the New Educator Luncheon

Together we End Polio

Colleyville Rotary Club members take a leading role in raising End Polio Now funds to eradicate polio world wide.

Since 1987 Rotary International has played a leading roll in funding and publicizing the eradication of polio world wide. Now there are only two endemic countries (Afghanistan and Pakistan). Rotary International, partnering with the Gates Foundation are committed to polio's eradication. Doing their part, members of the Colleyville Rotary Club have hosted annual Pedaling for Polio events to raise funds and awareness that the disease still exists and is a danger to us all as long as the disease exists anywhere in the world.

Colleyville Rotary Club and Rise Against Hunger Partner

The Rotary Club of Colleyville and the First United Methodist Church of Colleyville have teamed up with Rise Against Hunger to prepare meal packages for needy families around the world.

It is a lot of fun and takes less than 3 hours on a Saturday morning. There’s a role for everyone from children to senior citizens. Food packing tasks include weighing the food packages, re-filling the food bins, and sealing the packages.
