Colleyville Rotary Membership Application

 

Rotary International  is an association of individual clubs, with each club operating autonomously. Membership is extremely important to us, and we are always eager to hear from individuals interested in our mission and in joining a Rotary club. The Rotary International universal premise is that the membership of each club constitutes an accurate representation of the business and professional population within the community served.

Membership in a Rotary Club requires available business or professional classification opportunities as well as an invitation and sponsorship by a member of the club. Sometimes an individual cannot be invited or sponsored for membership.

Rotarians are business and professional leaders who take an active role in their communities while greatly enriching their personal and professional lives. A Rotary club contains a diverse group of professional leaders from the community that the club  serves.

Membership in a Rotary Club offers a number of benefits, including:

  • effecting change within the community
  • advancing business and professional contacts
  • developing leadership skills
  • gaining an understanding of — and having an impact on — international humanitarian issues
Process for becoming a member
  1. Attend one or more of our meetings, meet and talk to our members and determine if Colleyville Rotary is for you.
  2. Meet with our membership chair who will appoint a sponsor to network and discuss membership.
  3. Complete the membership application above and review with your sponsor
  4. Attend a new member orientation session to learn more about the club, Rotary and membership details
  5. With your confirmation, your sponsor will submit your application to the club Board of Directors
  6. Board will vote to accept your application
  7. With the approval of the Board of Directors, Club President will announce your application and the boards approval of the application to members at the next meeting.
  8. At the following meeting your sponsor will introduce you and the club president will formally induct your a member of the Rotary Club of Colleyville
  9. Your sponsor will work with club leadership to assign you to one of our committees and make sure you meet your fellow committee members.
  10. At one of the following meetings, the club president will request you do a presentation about yourself, your family, your vocation and the area of service where you are most passionate.
